We had breakfast in the car park and then headed off with the intention of climbing Mangart by the easier Italian route. The other option would have been the Slovenian via ferrata.  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We didn\u2019t get particularly far before the mist came in and then we met some people who had turned around due to snow so I went ahead and checked out the route. Above middle: Mangart is very popular among sheep tourists. Above right: After finding a large patch of exposed snow we turned around and headed down instead of carrying onto the summit.
