The fresh snow dump from yesterday had left lots of delicious powder on the mountain. We now had the opposite problem. There was too much snow and the long blue run at the top of the mountain was closed meaning Kate had a tiny section of ski-able mountain to use. Todd and I did a couple or runs down through the powder. I loved it. Mmmm. Kate tried her first red run. Brave I thought. She walked some of the nasty steep icy bits but put in a good effort. Half way down she took a dislike to one of the marker poles and attacked it viciously. It survived but was badly shaken.
