It was a hot and sunny day and we left Kamp Triglav in the morning. We bought bread from the market and parked the car at the tourist information. Johannes and Ari went ahead while Pedro and I organised his gear so that he could leave the supermarket bag behind for the not insignificant 1400 m climb to the hut. My 45L Deuter pack was full with mine and Ari’s gear and on the side I was carrying Pedro’s sleeping bag.<\/p>\n

The climb to the hut was not enjoyed by all involved and Ari asked me if I was trying to kill her as she stumbled the last metres to our accommodation, Poga\u010dnikov dom na Kri\u0161kih podih<\/a>, at 2050 m.<\/p>\n

We ate various stews in the evening, outside in front of the hut, these being the dishes available. It was quite fresh and the weather had been slowly changing during the day. I was eager to make the most of the remaining good weather and Johannes and I went for a short walk in the evening, spotting a number of Stein B\u00f6cke around the track.<\/p>\n
