I’m home.<\/p>\n

After 50+ hours of travelling I’m in Christchurch. I have the feeling I’m not going to want to leave again. It’s been so good seeing family and friends and being reunited with my carbon steed. I went for a road ride with Greig a couple of hours after clearing customs on Sunday and then tried my hand at The Tuesday Worlds yesterday morning. It was perfect. I felt quite sick by the time I got to the top of Evans pass. I haven’t ridden that hard for a very long time. I managed to hold onto the main bunch until half way up Evans before my legs failed me and I was reduced to a crawl. It made me feel alive…<\/p>\n

I went and got suited up with Simon for his wedding yesterday and then hung out with him for a while. In the evening we had a pot luck at Clare and Greig’s and I caught up with some of the Wednesday runners, Kerry, and young Katie.<\/p>\n

On Monday I went walking with Mum and Dad along the beach in Sumner and caught up with them a bit. Dad flys out to the USA this evening so it was good to overlap for a couple of days.<\/p>\n

Gina flys in on Thursday night and Simon’s wedding is on Friday. Frauke flys in on Saturday and then hopefully there will be much tramping\/tripping goodness. Busy busy. Three weeks is not nearly enough.<\/p>\n
