The race was a short 53 km blat out over two hills (the second giving the race its name) and over to France, ending back in Germany. Thomas attacked shortly after the race started and Marco followed. I reckon I could have jumped on but as I knew I\u2019d be dropped by them as soon as we hit the hills I stayed with the bunch and we chased. And we chased, and we chased, and we didn\u2019t catch them.
