This year’s time trial was shorter than the last couple of years. Instead of circling once around the lake as has been the case, we headed around the lake and ended in Feldkirchen. This was to fit in the with the Austrian time trial championships which was being held on the same circuit. The nice thing about that is it meant they were able to completely close the road this year. This was a vast improvement to last year where I got stuck behind a tractor.
There was no power in my legs and I had a lower average speed compared to last year despite the shorter course. What should I expect? Still, nice to be out on my bike.
