We left Flachau in the morning and drove to Freisatz am Rosental. From there we drove the small access road towards the Klagenfurter Hütte. The road turned to gravel and after skidding around a bit we decided to park at the sealed car park. We ate some delicious Hofer Bread and some of the remaining banana and blueberry muffins that I had baked in Flachau. The walk into the hut was uneventful, a couple of hours of walking up hill. We took climbing gear and ropes with ambitious ideas to climb the Klagenfurter Spitze.
The hut was quite nice, complete with free showers and very tasty food.
