Cris, Craig, and Pip explored Te Tahi Cave near Charleston in January 2025, descending a 40 m drop into the main chamber and spending a few hours navigating stalactite-filled passages, small waterfalls, and narrow squeezes before emerging through a side exit.

Katie, Jeremy and Cris trekked into the Mt Alexander area (West Coast) in December 2024, hiking via Camp Creek, negotiating overgrown tracks, river crossings and steep sections. They camped by a tarn, enjoyed relaxed mountain-side views, then returned the next day down the marked route and riverbed back to the car.

Cris, Ari, Phil, and Julie went sea kayaking in Sweden in August 2024. Starting North of Gothenburg, they paddled among rocky coastal islands, camped on remote shores, spotted seals, and later explored inland lakes connected by canals and locks. The trip mixed calm paddling, windy crossings, and scenic camping across Sweden’s waterways.

Cris and Katie spent late October to early November 2024 bikepacking across southern Japan, starting from Onomichi and following the Shimanami Kaido across its chain of islands to Shikoku. They continued south through quiet coastal towns, rural backroads, and small cities, relying on trains, convenience stores, and friendly locals along the way. Ari joined later for sightseeing in Hiroshima and Kyoto. After the trip, Cris continued on to New Zealand while Ari returned to Europe.

Adventures with Johannes and Rachel in the Dachstein Mountains in Austria. Johannes and I started with gravel biking and met Rachel a week or so later for some climbing and ferrata.

In August 2024, Cris and Ari embarked on a summer road trip through southern Switzerland and northern Italy. They began in Ticino, camping near Ponte Brolla and attempting to climb at the Ove tornar desio crag, though the intense heat led them to retreat after just two pitches. Seeking cooler activities, they discovered a refreshing waterfall pool for swimming and later returned to the same crag in the evening to complete the Onyx route. Their journey continued to the Aosta Valley in Italy, where they explored the Ferrata dell’Infernone, a canyon-side via ferrata, and enjoyed additional swims in icy river pools. The trip concluded with a stay in a mountain hut in the Swiss Alps, providing a nice end to their adventurous summer getaway.

Cris returned to Sardinia in April 2024, riding the Giro Sardinia with Michi, Dana, and Thorsten before meeting Ari and Johannes in Cala Gonone. They rented an Airbnb and spent several days climbing at Cala Fuili, mountain biking up Monte Tuttavista, and exploring coastal gravel roads. Later, Phil, Julie, Julia, and Eric joined for climbing at Buchi Arta, Monte Bonacoa, and S’Atta Ruia, with shared meals, evening BBQs, and coastal rides with Dana and Michi rounding out the trip.

Cris spent late December 2023–early January 2024 on a multi-day outdoor trip south of Christchurch with Craig, Rachel, and Pip. The group went canyoning at Woolshed Creek and Nimrod Reserve, climbed at Spur Road, and camped at Lake Poaka for New Year’s Eve. A highlight of the trip was camping at the Brewster Glacier. They also crossed Haast Pass to Jacksons and walked into Stafford Hut, enjoying a mix of climbing, canyoning, tramping, and scenic alpine landscapes.
