We walked to a bivouac in the hills today. It was cold and rained a bit. I couldn’t help but think that the scenery was a bit like canterbury. We could have been walking to the pack horse hut perhaps. Brown hills with patches of green that, without too much imagination, could be broom. We had a nice hot dinner at the biv thanks to our borrowed cooker. We reminisced during the evening about trips in New Zealand and TWALKs gone by.
Above: I couldn’t resist the urge to try some pole dancing.
Below: I thought that the hills looked a bit like the hills on Banks Peninsula in Canterbury, New Zealand.
