Today’s stage was a 16 km mountain time trial with a height difference of around 1200 m. It had snowed a couple of hundred metres above the finish line in the morning and it was quite fresh during the ascent. I had an ok ride, although my average heart rate seemed to be a bit low at 164 bpm (c.f. TdK 2014 178 bpm TT). I thought we still had another 100 m of climbing so was pacing myself but it turned out that I suddenly was at the finish. This meant I had still something in my legs that I could have used. Oh well, I may have gained a couple of places which would have meant my result would still have been bad
