We had a delicious 4 am start and carted our two heavy bike bags to the tram, then onto the trains then onto the planes and we were in Bergen 12 hours later. We built up the bikes at the airport and headed off to Bergen. It was 16 degrees and overcast but it wasn’t raining. Yay. We found our way to the YMCA youth hostel 20 km away and are staying there for the night.
I’ve decided that Norwegians are generally very friendly from the small sample that we talked to today. Yay Norwegians.
