One of the old guys from yesterday evening drove us up to the pass in the morning and we headed up onto the Lewis Pass Tops. It was nice weather and we wandered through the tussock land between the tarns until we got to a basin. We dropped our packs and scampered up Mt Technical. We followed the ridge all the way up to the top avoiding the steep snowy section which Lachlan, Julian, and I had crossed on the same trip in 2003. We had a small snow crossing right near the top. Lunch and back off the other side down a snowy slope and around to collect our packs.

We arrived at the Brass Monkey Biv a couple of hours later and cooked dinner in between intermittent rain drops and a quick dip in the tarn.
