Today’s race was on the same map as yesterdays. Chris had a late start so we blobbed throughout the morning until it was too late for him to comfortably walk to the start. To rectify this small problem, Chris went and had a few words with the bar staff. We’re not entirely sure what the words he used were but the long-and-the-short of it was that after a few minutes Chris returned grinning with the keys to the bar maid’s car. So we traveled in style in her funny little yellow car to the start line. We were very impressed with her generosity.

Emily was still feeling ill so didn’t start today. I DNF’d after five controls and Chris had a good run coming 3rd for the stage. Excellent. We retired to the camp site and blobbed for the afternoon watching the final stage of the Tour de France. We drank mulled wine in the bar in the evening and geeked with Michael on gmail.
